Journey or Destination? :)

Yes, I traveled again :) and yes, again it was completely dedicated to photography.
I wouldn't bore you with crappy text ( hear hear the complaints regarding the boring text in my photo-blogs ), so I will keep it short.
Main pain-point in this trip was that I never made it to the planned destinations in time.
I wanted to photograph Tada-falls ( which required 3+3 km of trekking ), but I had to turn back in between as it was late already.

 Flutter of butterflies at the entrance

A natural archway in the forest

A bigger flutter!! It was amazing with just butterflies everywhere!

Encountered several small streams, and yes I think I over-saturated this one ...

 On the way back, had to return midway :(

 Beautiful beginning of the trek
 Found all seasons in the above patch

I kept telling myself ( even though I was disappointed ) that journey is more important than the destination and focused my attention in capture the nearby village in its essence.

 Bajji seller
 Malli-poolu ( Arabian Jasmine) seller

Stopped by a dhaba for tea, they were pretty excited when I asked them for permission.

 Few roadside sunset shots

Next morning I went to Thupulupallem beach. Again I was late for sunrise.

The below pics are inspired by Alan Watts's lines :)

Suffering alone exists, none who suffer;
The deed there is, but no doer thereof;
Nirvana is, but no one seeking it;
The Path there is, but none who travel it.

Spot me in the below shot :) And just thinking of an ocean/beach does bring out the philosopher in me ( crappy as it may be ), I wrote these lines:

We again stopped at a nearby village for morning tea and met these kids who were again really excited to get clicked.

Hi There!
 The victory smile after conquering the lotus :)
 The beautiful lotus
 The gang :)

While I rested for the day, I went for a stroll in the evening and got some more clicks of village/villagers
  The Shepherd

The evening cricket match

I really enjoyed clicking places/people in their essence. For all the portraits, I didn't really  breach their privacy and most importantly they themselves wanted the shot :)
I was told by a friend that I didn't need to take any saying literally ( about journey and destination ) but it really worked for me. Even though the destination is important, if you make your journey joyful, it will matter less for you if you ever reach the destination or not. Wishing you all happy journey, including the perpetual one, the life!

  1. Krish, I don't usually agree to less words from you, but you have the unique ability to tell a story with a single picture. I look at each of these photos, particularly the pictures involving PEOPLE and I can't help but imagine their story. Your photos evoke human compassion because you show it with your interest in them. Your photos evoke curiosity, wonder, childish joy. Thank you for sharing these with us!!

    Next time you go out someplace, maybe take a headlamp/flashlight so you can make it back in the dark? :D

    1. lol! Sorry sir but I can't trek in dark, even in United States :P. The other reason was weather, it was heavily humid and about to rain. I don't have a waterproof/weatherproof camera bag.
      I really appreciate your observations/comments about my work! Much thanks for keeping me inspired!! :D
